The Michigan Music Business Club’s mission is “to educate, empower, and prepare the next generation of executives, tastemakers, and power-players in the music industry.” In March 2023, we kicked off our first annual conference filled with luminary industry executives, agents and directors, made for students passionate about music and eager to connect with industry professionals. Our event was a smash, and we created a podcast series interviewing these professionals to dive deeper into their workflow.

I created this Twitter account to develop an outreach strategy to promote the conference podcast episodes. Using my connections to other accounts on various platforms, I was able to generate over 500,000 impressions on Twitter spread across only 4 episodes.

Outside of podcast episodes, the account has gathered over 4,000,000 impressions total, establishing our presence on the platform. We plan to expand on this strategy for next year’s conference with a new batch of exciting podcast episodes!
